HVAC Mechanical Engineer (Entry Level)

Job Description

We are looking for a mechanical design engineer to do HVAC design work/client coordination for residential and commercial buildings.

Duties

  • Preparing general submittals with direction from Engineers using AutoCAD software.
  • Work directly with General Contractors, Architects, Utility Consultants and Structural Engineers to produce finished drawings.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers and field personnel.
  • Understand work planning and able to manage time to meet the available hours in the work plan.
  • Develop mechanical room layouts with input from Engineers.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering is required. Having a PE license is a plus.
  • Experience with HVAC load calculations and Title 24 calculations.
  • Experience with Wrightsoft, Revit, and knowledge of green building standards and energy efficient programs is desired but not required.

Electrical Design Engineer (Entry Level)

Job Description

We are looking for a electrical design engineer to do electrical design work/client coordination for residential and commercial buildings.

  • Preparation of construction drawings including demand load calculation, panel schedule, power plan, lighting plan, lighting control diagram etc., using AUTOCAD software.

We are looking for a plumbing design engineer to do plumbing design work/client coordination for residential and commercial buildings.

Duties

  • Preparing general submittals with direction from Engineers using AutoCAD software. Experience with Revit, MEP engineering, or designing grey water systems  is a plus.
  • Equipment sizing, water pipe sizing, gas pipe sizing, sewer pipe sizing using in house software with input from Engineers.
  • Work directly with General Contractors, Architects, Utility Consultants and Structural Engineers to produce finished drawings.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers and field personnel.
  • Understand work planning and able to manage time to meet the available hours in the work plan.
  • The applicant must have good oral and written communication skills and ability be part of a project team.

Structural Engineer

Job Description

Structural Engineer sought by GMEP Engineers in Lake Forest, CA to perform structural engineering design & analysis.

Duties

  • Under close supervision, perform structural engineering design and analysis, including finite element analysis, for buildings and projects using structural steel, concrete, masonry and wood framing.
  • Determine load calculation.
  • Build 2D and 3D model using computer-aided design technology and structural analysis software (including AutoCAD, Abaqus, RISA, Revit, Enercal and Ansys). 
  • Comply with AISC, ACI, WFCM , ASCE, and CBC code requirements.

Requirements:

  • BS in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering degree.
  • Working knowledge (6 months’ work experience or 1 post-secondary course using) of finite element analysis, AutoCAD (for engineering), structural analysis software (Abaqus, RISA, Revit, and Ansys) and structural engineering/design analysis.
